How Jobmetry collects, uses, and protects information when you use our job search tracker.
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how Jobmetry ("Jobmetry," "we," "us," or "our") handles personal information when you visit our website, create an account, or use our job search tracking features.
By using Jobmetry, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive information made available by your Google account, such as your name, email address, and profile image.
Job search data you provide: This includes application details (company names, roles, statuses, locations, salary ranges, notes, links, and dates), interview stages, reminders, and analytics derived from your activity in the app.
Technical information: We automatically collect information needed to operate the service, such as browser type, device information, IP address, session identifiers, and usage logs.
Cookies and similar technologies: We use cookies and related technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences such as theme settings, and protect the service.
3. How We Use Information
We use personal information to provide and maintain Jobmetry, authenticate users, store and display your job search data, send service-related communications, improve performance and reliability, detect abuse or security issues, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Legal Bases for Processing
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process personal information to perform our contract with you, based on your consent (for example, when you choose to sign in with Google), to comply with legal obligations, and for our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving Jobmetry.
6. Data Retention
We retain account and job search data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account in Settings, or request deletion another way, we delete or anonymize personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business needs such as security and fraud prevention.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing.
You can sign out at any time to end your active session. You can permanently delete your account and associated data from Settings → Account. To request access, correction, or deletion another way, contact support@jobmetry.com.
You may be able to manage certain Google account permissions through your Google account settings.
9. Children's Privacy
Jobmetry is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
10. International Users
If you access Jobmetry from outside the country where our infrastructure providers operate, your information may be processed in other jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date on this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice within the app.
